These essays are my personal explorations into Nature and the nature of spirituality. I have grouped them for convenience though most saunter related ground where pathways often intersect, crisscross or fade away into wildlife trails or simply to mystery. Philosophy has taught me to set my compass for the wise questions without being distracted by goals and destinations. The search for truth is never complete, nor is the quest for spiritual understanding. My journey is no saintly pilgrimage, but it is mine. I am responsible for what I choose, where I go, what I do with what I learn. I do not expect the reader to venture off on the same trails I have chosen. I simply offer these reflections in my life's rivers, lakes, waterfalls and mud puddles as encouragement for each to learn the lessons of Nature, our greatest and most enduring teacher. In the natural world, which is the only world we can know and participate in, the journey is shared, even in periods of silence and solitude. So I invite you along these curious paths as far as you wish to go. I welcome your responsive comments as well as critiques.
